Join us for Ireland’s first professional Voiceover Meet Up, bringing together voiceover artists from across Ireland and Northern Ireland for an evening of connection, conversation and industry insight.

Taking place on Saturday the 8th of August June from 1pm, this event is designed to create a welcoming space for the voiceover community to meet in person, share experiences and build meaningful professional relationships.

What’s happening on the day:

• Guest talks from experienced voiceover professionals, Engineers, animation companies and Vo Casting Directors, sharing insight into the industry
• Speed networking sessions to meet and connect with fellow VO artists and clients
• Opportunities to share experiences, advice and industry knowledge
• A chance to build new connections and expand your professional network

Whether you are an established voice actor, a performer moving into voiceover, or someone building their career in the industry, this event aims to bring the Irish voiceover community together for the first time in a dedicated professional setting.

The Sound Behind the Performance

Mick Creedon is one of Ireland's most respected post-production sound engineers with over 25 years' experience across film, television, documentaries and commercial audio. Formerly Head of Audio at Windmill Lane Pictures, he now runs MC Sound, specialising in dialogue editing, ADR, voice recording and sound design.

Colm O'Rourke is Senior Sound Engineer, Mixer and Co-Owner of RAYGUN. An IFTA-winning Sound Designer, he specialises in sound design, ADR, audio mixing and post-production across television, film, documentaries and commercial work.

2:30pm – Greg Malocca 

Recording voice-over for games, audiobooks and in between 

Greg Malocca is a Dublin-based re-recording mixer, composer, and sound designer with over 20 years of experience in audio post-production. He runs Egoboo, a commercial studio specialising in voice recording and sound design for advertising, film, audiobooks, and major games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Wars Battlefront. Mindful of voiceover ethics in an evolving industry, Greg ensures clear talent consent and safeguards when engineering voice assets for AI training and TTS tools.

Conor Reid is an award-winning podcaster, writer and Head of Podcasts at HeadStuff and The Podcast Studios. He created the award-winning Words To That Effect podcast and the acclaimed audio drama The Greatest Matter.

Dee Reddy is Founder and Managing Director of Poddle Audio and one of Ireland's leading broadcasters and podcast producers, with over 18 years' experience across radio, podcasting and digital media.

4:15pm – Special Guest Speakers: Lorraine Lordan and Kairen Waloch 

Animation & Voice Direction – Creating Memorable Characters

Lorraine Lordan is one of Ireland's leading animation and voice directors at Cartoon Saloon. Her credits include Puffin Rock and the New Friends, Pete the Cat, The Breadwinner and A Cat Called Jam.

Kairen Waloch has worked in animation voice production for over two decades, with experience spanning voice casting, voice recording coordination and voice direction.

Her credits include voice recording coordination on Cartoon Saloon's Oscar-nominated The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers, and script supervision for the US voice recordings of My Father's Dragon.. As a voice director and casting director, Kairen has worked on the animated feature Fritzi: A Miraculous Revolutionary Tale, directed voice performances on animated television projects, cast the award-winning animated short Eiru, and most recently provided voice casting for a new children's television series.

Panel Discussion with Gerry O'Brien

Join acclaimed actor, voice artist, and President of Irish Equity, Gerry O'Brien, for an open and engaging conversation about a lifetime in the performing arts and ProfessionalVoiceover. Drawing on more than 50 years of experience across theatre, film, television, radio, and voiceover, Gerry will share invaluable insights into building a lasting career in the industry. The discussion will also explore his work with Irish Equity, advocating for performers' rights, supporting Vo artists throughout their careers, and the challenges and opportunities facing today's creative community.
